Jeff Brown

As an artist, I am interested in creating works of art that encapsulate various experiences and love with the outdoors. I create paintings and multimedia works of art that become two and three-dimensional with the use of acrylics, acrylic mediums, watercolors, ink and other multimedia textures, such as stone, wood, and metal. The addition of modeling paste, heavy gel and detailed line drawings aid in focusing the attention of the viewer and guide your eyes throughout the canvas. I use bold, bright colors, to direct the emphasis towards the shapes and movement of the landscapes and elements. My work is influenced by nature and elements I have personally experienced. Although my paintings generally depict views from Colorado, California, Oregon, Utah and Arizona, the sceneries have begun to expand along with my travels with friends and family. I often portray these experiences surrounding a symbol of Colorado, as Colorado is my home and holds the closest of my memories.

My outdoor travels have given me my inspiration and my paintings are recreations of these great experiences.
